Competition Rigs

No steel, no screws, no BS, just leather crossdraw competition holster:  This holster is fully lined and made the old way by using a loop cut from the back skirt rather than riveted or sewn on. However, it is cut to fully expose the trigger guard just like the more generic competition holsters. The two plys of leather make it a rigid holster and the back skirt makes it extremely stable on the cartridge belt with the loop serving as more than just ornamentation. The holster throat is flaired for easy reholstering. This crossdraw example is cut to ride high. Of course, For A Few Dollars More, a steel lining can be added.

No steel, no screws, no BS, just leather, competition holster:  This example has a lower drop than the crossdraw version above. These holsters were made for my style of shooting. The strong side holster needs more of a drop to be able to efficently clear leather. It has a slight forward cant. The crossdraw version was cut with very little drop because I'll be reaching accross my middle and don't want to reach any further than necessary. For A Few Dollars More, a steel lining can be added.
SASS style Competition Holster:  This holster was made with all of the features on which the competitive cowboy shooter has come to depend. It is cut low on the cylinder and has been cut to fully expose the trigger guard. The pouch has a steel lining sandwiched between the outer layer of leather and the inner leather liner thereby virtually eliminating friction between the holster and the gun. Also note that a hammer thong is a necessity on this model. This holster can be made with a forward or rearward cant and can also be made into the crossdraw configuration. In addition, there is a tensioning system for locking the holster to the belt.
